The ARRAM Consultants team will be in charge of carrying out the entire project.
The Spanish biotechnology business group Natac, S.L., dedicated to the research, development, manufacturing and marketing of natural ingredients, has started the construction of its new factory in Hervás, a strategic step to achieve its growth objective, with the help of Arram Consultores.
The new location, framed in a privileged natural environment with a great agricultural tradition, as well as an important tourist enclave, has almost 21,000 square metres, in what in the first phase of the factory will have more than 6,500 square metres of production area, offices and warehouse. It will be a multi-product factory in which various extraction technologies will be combined, where state-of-the-art equipment and machinery will be installed with an estimated annual processing capacity of 2,500 tonnes of raw material, i.e. some 750,000 kilograms of final product, and which is estimated to generate 20 direct jobs in the region in the first phase. The total investment is estimated at 7.7 million euros. The new factory will be located in the Las Cañadas Industrial Estate, on plots of land number 32 to 72. The initial plan is to occupy some 20,500 m2 corresponding to the southern rectangle, leaving the rest free for future developments.
"Natac has designed an important diversification and consolidation strategy in the market, in which the new factory in Hervás will be an integral part", said Antonio Delgado, Natac's CEO. "These new facilities will respond to a greater demand from our customers, both in terms of quantity and variety of products".
The ARRAM Consultores team, led by Rocío Navarro (Project Manager) and the technical team made up of Antonio Rubio, Fernando Alcántara, Antonio Morillo and Juan José Morcillo, will be responsible for carrying out the complete project, both the design and projection of the facilities and the consultancy and site management services necessary for its implementation. At the end of March, the application for a subsidy for the project was submitted to the Regional Incentives line and at the beginning of April, the application for the Urban Development Licence was presented to the Town Hall. The project will be designed and modelled using Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodology.
Natac's factory in Hervás will produce plant extracts, both from botanical species known in the region such as olive and grape, as well as from species cultivated in distant geographical areas, such as rhodiola, originally from Siberia. The new location is an opportunity for Natac to extend its vertically integrated sustainable business model in the region of Extremadura, based on strategic alliances with important local producers to offer natural ingredients with the highest quality and traceability guarantees.
Natac researches, develops, manufactures and markets natural pharmaceutical ingredients, mainly plant extracts and functional lipids. The company's sustainable business model involves establishing and maintaining relationships with farmers, large food companies and other stakeholders, enabling the company to offer ingredients from different regions and extracted with innovative technologies.
The integration of a variety of processes, technologies and equipment in an unparalleled synergy allows you to control the cycle from farmer to finished product.
