ARRAM Consultores receives the 2018 ASINCEX Engineering and Consultancy Award of Extremadura, for its relevant activity in agro-industrial engineering. It received the award especially for the innovative project carried out for the multinational PEPSICO, at its Alvalle plant in Alcantarilla (Murcia).
ASINCEX, the Association of Engineering and Consulting Companies of Extremadura, on the occasion of its 10th Anniversary, celebrated last night the I ASINCEX Awards. These awards are given to engineering and consultancy companies in Extremadura. The event took place at the Palacio de Congresos in Mérida.
WINNERS OF THE I ASINCEX AWARDS
The I ASINCEX Awards seek to publicly recognise the important work carried out by engineering and consultancy firms in Extremadura. In this first edition, ARRAM Consultores has been awarded the 2018 ASINCEX Award for Engineering and Consultancy in Extremadura. The award has been granted for its relevant activity in agro-industrial engineering and especially for the innovative project carried out for the multinational PEPSICO, at its Alvalle plant in Alcantarilla (Murcia).
The award was collected by its chairman, Carlos Arce Pardo. He was accompanied by his wife Lourdes Guitiérrez Leva and one of the founding partners of ARRAM Consultores, José Manuel Mateos Fernández.
The event began at 19:30 and was welcomed by the presenter Belén Martín. Afterwards, Juan Ignacio Lema Devesa, president, until June this year, of TECNIBERIA, the Spanish Association of Engineering, Consultancy and Technological Services Companies of Spain, gave a speech. In his speech, he highlighted the excellence of Spanish companies in this sector and discussed the keys to the future of these companies.
The event was attended, among others, by some of the main authorities of the region, such as the President of the Regional Government of Extremadura, Mr. Guillermo Fernández Vara; the Councillor of MARPAT, Ms. Begoña García Bernal; the President of the Provincial Council of Badajoz, Mr. Miguel A. Gallardo Miranda; the Secretary General of Economy and Trade, Mr. Antonio Ruiz Romero; the Director General of Enterprise and Competitiveness, Ms. Ana Vega Fernández; the Deputy of the Area of Infrastructures of the Provincial Council of Cáceres, Mr. Luis Fernando García; and the Deputy of the Area of Infrastructures of the Regional Council of Cáceres, Mr. Luis Fernando García. Antonio Ruiz Romero; the General Director of Enterprise and Competitiveness, Ms. Ana Vega Fernández; the Deputy of the Infrastructure Area of the Provincial Council of Cáceres, Mr. Luis Fernando García; and the Deputy General Director of Extremadura Avante, Mr. José Matías Sánchez.
During the event, ASINCEX presented eight awards. Three of them were in recognition of initiative, contribution and professional career. The other four awards were given to the best projects by sectors of activity, such as civil, agriculture and environment, industry and energy, and building and land use planning.
Before the prize-giving ceremony, the awards were presented. The most outstanding was the Recognition of the professional and entrepreneurial career of Civil Engineers founders of Extremadura Engineering Companies of recognised prestige and long trajectory and professors of the University of Extremadura: Emilio González Zamora and Manuel Trujillo Pérez.
As for the other winners, the award for the best project in the civil sector went to Paymacotas Extremadura. The prize was awarded for its technical assistance work in the control and monitoring of the Madrid-Extremadura high-speed railway line and the construction of the most important AVE tunnel in the region. In the agriculture and environment sector, the Extremadura company Advanza Ingeniería y Medio Ambiente was awarded the prize. On this occasion, they valued its projects and specialisation in mountain irrigation in Extremadura, within a circular economy concept. The prize for the best project in the industrial and energy sector was awarded to Ecoenergy of Guadiana, for the realisation of the largest photovoltaic plant project planned in Spain, which is expected to be operational in 2020. The award for the best project in the building and land development sector went to the Extremadura-based company Ingex-Inco, for its work on the DCV HVDC of the Iberum Logistics Platform in Illescas (Toledo), the largest in Spain to date.
After the awards ceremony, the president of ASINCEX, Juan Merino; the president of COEBA, Emilio Doncel; and the head of the regional executive, Guillermo Fernández Vara, took the floor, who stressed that engineers "not only provide knowledge of the sector, but also the method and rigour that are intrinsic to engineering".
